Professor of climate dynamics at the Department of Earth Science and the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, University of Bergen, Norway.
Professor II at the Department of Geosciences and the Center for Earth Evolution and Dynamics, University of Oslo, Norway.
My research is focused on understanding the dynamics of past climate change on a wide range of timescales, including tectonic, orbital and millennial. In this work we apply fundamentals from geophysics and fluid dynamics, a range of ice and climate models of different complexity, as well as proxy data from marine, terrestrial and ice core archives.
Key fields of interest: Climate dynamics, ice dynamics, paleoclimate, and numerical modeling.
